The Project
Below is the compilation of work I accomplished during my studies of UX design at the UX Design institute accredited by the University of Glasgow.

Discipline
UX Design

Used tools
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Loom, SurveyMonkey, Loom and Figma.

Objective
Obtain skills focused on research, analysis, and design techniques to build a successful UX career.
Phase 1: The Research

Benchmarking
I Reviewed the competitors' websites that I found appealing; I took screenshots of every step page to analyze their flow + navigation. This process allowed me to understand their conventions and described the best practices towards their flow.

Survey
I created an online survey to learn about user goals when visiting an airline website. The results allowed me to identify their context and behaviours.
Usability test
I evaluate other products with a user to understand different mental models by conducting an interview test. The test consisted of videotaping the user's expressions and thoughts while navigating the website and understanding their mental models.
Preparation:

Organizing set, computer, microphone and camera.
Test scrip for guidance.
Description of tasks.

Test goals:
Learn the user goals, behaviours and context of airline customers when booking flights.
Tested Air Canada and Westjet
Identify user journey
Find pain points on the websites or apps for the user.

Phase 2: Analysis
affiniy diagram
I reviewed previous research by analyzing Phase 1. I brainstormed and took notes with another colleague that we wrote into post-its to arrange them into groups that make sense and build the affinity diagram.
Customer journey map
Based on the negative and positive user experience, I translated the research data into a structured document. The customer journey map indicates the user behaviour, goals and context step by step.

Phase 3: Design

Flow diagram for desktop
Considering all the previous phases, I defined a high-level flow for Desktop navigation to book flights on the new airline website called Fly UX; I addressed all the issues highlighted in the previous customer journey map.
Interaction design for desktop
I defined the navigation by doing quick sketches of the screens for Desktop's airline flight booking process by using the flow diagram as a reference.

Phase 4: Prototyping and Wireframing

prototype
I created a medium-fidelity prototype to define the Fly Ux flight booking process by adding interactivity details that include flight search, seat selection, and payment flows.

Wireframes
I created the guidelines that contain the necessary details for a developer to build the Desktop or application accurately.
