Objective
Improve the usability, accessibility, and overall experience of the funding portal by addressing user pain points, ensuring compliance with Government of Canada digital accessibility standards, and creating a scalable design foundation that could evolve with changing program requirements.

My Role
I led all UX activities for CHFP, expanding the role's original scope to include usability journey analysis and accessibility reviews. My work included:
- Conducting user research and usability testing to identify pain points and inform design priorities
- Creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs in Figma
- Ensuring full compliance with WET Toolkit accessibility standards across the portal
- Collaborating with developers and business analysts (tracking and refining requirements via Azure DevOps) to translate research into technical and business requirements
- Leading QA testing for custom software and web applications
- Presenting design decisions and usability findings to senior management
- Mentoring junior team members on UX practices
